Competency Recognizes ePlus' Exceptional Skills and Experience in Building Web Portal Solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint Platform

ePlus inc. today announced that it has earned Microsoft's Information Worker Solutions Competency in Portals and Enterprise Content Management.

Microsoft awards competencies to its partners who demonstrate in-depth technical and business expertise in deploying customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. ePlus, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has previously earned competencies in Networking Infrastructure Solutions and Advanced Infrastructure Solutions.

ePlus specializes in the design, development, and deployment of corporate web portals built on Microsoft's SharePoint platform. ePlus clients look to corporate web portals as a means to increase team productivity and effectiveness. Portal solutions based on SharePoint technologies enable users to share processes and easily access and collaborate on relevant information across the enterprise.

ePlus earned the Portals and Enterprise Content Management Competency by meeting Microsoft's requirements for individual certification and customer references:

  • Individual Certifications - ePlus attained the required number of certifications for Microsoft Exam 74-132, "Designing a Portal Solution with Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies."
  • Customer References - ePlus achieved the required number of customer references for deployment of SharePoint portals that "connect users and teams to improve efficiency." ePlus customer references included a national lending institution, a mid-market manufacturing company, and a mid-market professional services company.

"We'd like to congratulate ePlus on attaining the Information Worker Solutions Competency from Microsoft," said Greg Reitz, director of information technology, Garlock Sealing Technologies, an EnPro Industries Company. "The web portal that ePlus designed for us is a valuable information resource, providing all of our employees across all locations with enhanced visibility into corporate affairs, events, and resources. It has greatly enhanced our internal communication and productivity."

Earning the Portals and Enterprise Content Management Competency demonstrates ePlus' exceptional qualifications to build SharePoint portals that help customers:

  • Communicate - Utilize their knowledge assets with an online library of best-practice materials and ensure effective information flow and two-way sharing of data.
  • Collaborate - Leverage the expertise of the entire company with powerful collaboration tools.
  • Enable - Make more informed management decisions by querying with real-time data from across the company.

Attaining this competency gives ePlus access to the latest Microsoft technologies and partner-exclusive training opportunities, guidance on deploying information worker solutions, access to relevant online partner resources, and other exclusive Microsoft resources.

"We are happy to recognize ePlus for its work to achieve Microsoft's Information Worker Solutions Competency in Portals and Enterprise Content Management," said Reed Overfelt, Mid Atlantic Area general manager for Microsoft's Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners Group. "We place tremendous value on our partners, which help us deliver solutions and applications to customers. As a company, we are proud of the great relationships we've established with our partners and think it is important to recognize those that perform exceptionally."

"We're proud to be acknowledged for our success in web portal solutions and enterprise content management," said Tony Mazzullo, senior vice president of operations at ePlus. "This competency from Microsoft provides us with additional support and tools that will further enhance our ability to deliver high value software and consulting solutions to our customers."
