Softnet-logicalis Becomes Blue Coat Elite Partner, Plans for Joint Sales, Marketing & Support

Blue Coat® Systems, the leader in secure content and application delivery, today announced that Softnet-Logicalis, the leading network systems integrator in Latin America and a Logicalis/Datatec Group company, has become a Blue Coat Elite Partner for Central and Latin America and that the two companies will work together in joint sales, marketing and support activities to provide Web security and WAN optimization solutions throughout the region. Solutions based on Blue Coat SG appliances provide a complete infrastructure for security and acceleration of applications across the Internet and WAN.

Softnet-Logicalis, provides solutions for large enterprise, service provider and government markets in Latin America. In addition to becoming a Blue Coat Elite Partner, the company will also become a Blue Coat Premier Service Partner to take primary responsibility for the first two levels of customer service and support in the region. Softnet-Logicalis will also become a Blue Coat Authorized Training Center for the region to provide in-depth training to customers.

Blue Coat and Softnet-Logicalis will focus on Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Bolivia. The companies are currently conducting internal training for 80 Softnet-Logicalis sales professionals and 110 technical professionals. The two companies plan to conduct end user customer solution seminars throughout the region beginning in early 2007.
