Roxio design and engineering teams, working closely with Microsoft, developed Roxio Central by taking advantage of the new programming model for Windows Vista, NET Framework 3.0, and participating in the early adopter programs for Expression Blend and Expression Designer, which are part of Microsoft's Expression Studio family of professional-design tools.

The product will be promoted by Microsoft at Vista launch events as a key productivity application.
